Veteran actress Asha Parekh would be bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke award today.

 The actress was recently at the Indian Film Festival of Boston.

The actress who's largely known for her dancing skills and grace

 Which is inimitable, feels sad to see dance in the movies today.

Asha Parekh made her debut as a leading actress in 'Dil Deke Dekho' after doing several films as a child artist. 

She's known for her work in films like 'Teesri Manzil', 'Caravan', 'Chirag' and many more. 

 With such a prolific body of work, it's only justified that the legend receives a Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year. 

The actress was also awarded a Padma Shri in 1992.

She further said that only Sanjay Leela Bhansali has managed to stick to our roots and Indian culture.
