Selena Gomez’s twenties are officially in the past. The newly 30-year-old “only murders in the building” star spent this past weekend celebrating the milestone, starting with a get-together with her longtime pal Taylor Swift.
Swift appears to have given her a wrapped present but told them that if someone is looking to do the same, Gomez has asked her fans to instead of giving her presents, better donate to her beauty brand’s mental health initiative.
Selena Gomez threw a party event which was a “formal party” and had nearly 50 guests held at one of her private houses. “Everyone was in gowns and dressed up,” the source noted. Sources tell that – “Red roses were lining the entryway and throughout the party.”

Swift kept it casual in a red prairie dress by Christy Dawn paired with hoop earrings, while Gomez wore a white Gucci gown with bell sleeves. Selena’s friend Courtney Lopez also shared a few snaps on Instagram featuring the birthday girl in a sequin halter dress lined with feathers. After all, who says you can’t have two dresses at your own party?
There were some other celebs with whom Gomez partied. She was next the guest of honor at a rose-themed celebration in Los Angeles with Kim Petras, Camilla Cabello, and Ava Max. To fans’ chagrin, Cabello wasn’t photographed.
On July 25, Selena took to Instagram with a message about entering her 30s, noting that her “twenties were a journey through good, hard and beautiful moments that I will never forget.” Selena also posted her birthday pictures and captioned them- “30, Nerdy and worthy!”
